DEC 27 – Managua – León

Arrival at Managua International Airport.

You will be met by our team and transferred directly to León (2 hours).

In the afternoon, you will take a walking tour of the city to discover its most representative attractions, including the imposing León Cathedral and other emblematic historical sites.

DEC 28 – León – Granada

AM: Sunrise Volcano Boarding At 3:00 a.m., the most popular tour in Northwest Nicaragua begins: glide down an active volcano on wooden boards.

Epic views, an easy hike, and a unique experience.

We'll depart from León around 3:00 a.m., hike for 45 minutes to the volcano's summit to watch the sunrise, then we'll get you equipped and you're off!

PM: Transfer to Granada

DEC 29 –  Granada

In the morning, hike the El Cráter trail (1.5 km) in the Mombacho Volcano Reserve, enjoying panoramic views of the cloud forest. Afterward, return to Granada for lunch. In the afternoon, take a short tour of Granada: the main square, colonial churches, the La Merced viewpoint, and the pedestrian street La Calzada. End the day with a kayak trip around the Isletas de Granada, enjoying the sunset and views of the Mombacho Volcano.

DEC 30 –  Granada – Isla de Ometepe

Transfer to the port of San Jorge and ferry to Ometepe. Upon arrival, island tour including visits to: El Ceibo Museum (archaeology and numismatics), Charco Verde Reserve, Ojo de Agua, and sunset at Mango Beach.

DEC 31 –  Isla de Ometepe

Free day on the island to explore at your own pace, with the option of taking the excursion to the San Ramón Waterfall (not included in this quote).

JAN 01  –  Ometepe – San Juan del Sur

Ferry back to San Jorge and transfer to San Juan del Sur, a charming coastal town.
