Overview

• Wander Travel is a 5 year travel agency based in the Toronto Area. Backed by a strong experience base, extensive traveling knowledge and commercial skills, we provide competitive, effective travel services that create a real difference for our customers in their destinations and related needs. We aim to be the leaders with new ideas and innovative in all areas of our activity to create value for our customers, suppliers, employees and the marketplace in which we work.

History

• Wander Travel started operations by the end of May, 1999. Initial funding was completely provided by the current owner and General Manager, Lorena Suarez-Balkowski. . At that time, Wander Travel was focused to target the Latin American Destinations, specifically Mexico, due to the strong experience and background of the employees and staff in this field. Soon, the company was awarded with recognitions and qualification statements from TICO (Travel Industry Council of Ontario) and IATA (International Air Transportation Association).  The business soared into consolidation by operating through the Computer Reservation Platform (Sabre), and reached a complete range of travel services that turned Wander Travel competitive at every segment of the market niche.

• Our hotel-booking engine is powered by World Choice Travel (WCT). WCT is a member of the ASTA (American Society of Travel Agents) and IATAN (International Airlines Travel Agent Network). WCT is also registered as a seller of travel with the State of Florida - Fla. Seller of Travel Reg. No. ST34200.
  
  Our powerful hotel engine provides the widest selection of hotel accommodations throughout the world. This technology connects directly to the central reservations systems of hotels worldwide, resulting in better rate and room descriptions, and in many cases, a greater variety of rates. This arrangement translates into considerable savings. We also increased our possibilities by adding last minute deals, packages, show tickets, air only deals, car rental and travel insurance.
